Prophetic Word for 2018: New Gates Opening in the Spirit for You

I heard the Lord say, “Get ready for promotions and things to start happening quickly this year.”

… I am the Lord; in its time I will do this swiftly. Isaiah 60:22 NIV

Many people have been waiting for God to move in their lives, and also bring a much-needed revival to the world. Get ready for things to begin lining up like never before. Expect to hear the voice of God much more clearly, as you are being called up to a new level of breakthrough and maturity.

The spiritual atmosphere is very ripe for something new. God is moving and preparing for a radical revival that will start first in our own lives. We have endured a dry season in which many people have not seen the fulfillment of prophetic words and promises from God. Watch for the Lord to bring His instructions to you.

Encountering Heaven this year

The veil between Heaven and Earth is now opening up more. God is getting us ready to receive and release prophetic mysteries from Heaven. These mysteries will expand our understanding of what is already written in the Bible and how it applies to our lives today.

This new revelation is starting to happen right now. God is opening up our understanding to things that were previously sealed because they are needed in this time and season that we are now entering. This does not mean that we abandon the foundational teachings of our faith in Jesus Christ.

I have become its servant by the commission God gave me to present to you the word of God in its fullness—the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the Lord’s people. Colossians 1:25–26 NIV

We are in a season when our lives on Earth will change radically as we grow in our understanding of what Jesus meant when He said, “on Earth as it is in Heaven.” (Matthew 6:9–10). We are now entering a season of greater revelation and interaction with the Lord that will bring Heaven to Earth in new, unprecedented ways.

New gates open in the spirit

I want to share part of a heavenly encounter I had in which I saw people all over the world either stuck in previous seasons or unsure how to move forward. Many of you feel like you’re called to something more, but you have not seen it come about.

[Start of Encounter]

In the encounter, I had a vision that an angel came with silver keys and unlocked chains that were on people. As the angel unlocked the chains, I saw another angel holding a stack of contracts and agreements that had been made with these restraints.These had been placed on people by those who did not understand them or had become jealous. The chains and contracts had been holding these people back from moving forward in many areas of their lives. Most people did not realize they had these restraints. They had gotten used to operating within the limits that had been placed upon them.

Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous: “The Lord’s right hand has done mighty things! The Lord’s right hand is lifted high; the Lord’s right hand has done mighty things!” I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the Lord has done. Psalm 118:15–17 NIV

Suddenly, the people’s shouts of joy and victory caused discouragement to fall off. Some had become so distressed they were at the point of giving up and wanting God to take them to Heaven. Others were suffering with suicidal thoughts. But these were all being broken!

I watched as many people began to shout and worship God. Then the Lord stood up and raised His hands and said with a loud voice, “Open the gates of righteousness!”

Open for me the gates of the righteous; I will enter and give thanks to the Lord. This is the gate of the Lord through which the righteous may enter. Psalm 118:19–20 NIV

Jesus said, “I will fulfill all the promises I made to you. The things I have spoken to you are now coming to you. I am now freeing you from the chains that have held you back. I am aligning you for this new season of your life. Stay close to Me and watch as I move in the midst of the storms. This is the gate that leads you to the very reason you were created.This is the pathway to My presence that will take you deeper into My intimacy and love.”

The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes. Psalm 118:22–23 NIV

I saw many people who were being freed from the chains and restraints of the past now flowing through this new Psalm 118 Gate of Righteousness. They were given new freedom and purpose, and their strength was returning. Many of them had been rejected because they did not fit. But now God is gathering the misfits and rejected and is building them into something new.

Rainbow people keys

Two years ago, I had a vision in which I saw apostolic and prophetic leaders who had been carrying keys of authority over cities and regions, but had either laid down their calling or become judgmental. I saw angels going all over the Earth gathering these keys and reassigning them to people who were ready to use them for the new purposes of the Kingdom of God. I wrote about this in my Prophetic Forecast, Volume 2 book on pages 72–73.

A few years ago, I had a prophetic dream about a key angel. In the dream, I was given an ancient key and a rainbow key, but they were both blanks and would not open anything until they were cut. God spoke to me that at the right time the keys would be used to open up something new in the spirit.

On December 15, 2017, I had an encounter in which I was taken back to the prophetic dream about the key angel and the blank keys. I was now standing on a high mountain and there was a key shop with an angel inside. The angel operated the keys of Heaven machine. I handed the two blank keys to the angel and he cut them on a machine and handed them back to me.

The Lord said, “The ancient key is the mysteries and revelation for the coming revival that is being saved for this time. And the rainbow-colored key is the anointing and calling to reach the new rainbow people.”

The Jesus People Movement of the 1970s was to the rainbow people, which were the hippies. But the new Jesus People Movement that is now coming is going to be to the new rainbow people. These are the ones of many colors and unusual types. And similar to the hippies of the first Jesus People Movement, they have been rejected and considered unclean by most of the Church.

The Lord said, “The new rainbow people and the new Jesus People Movement is going to be to the Ezekiel 34 outcast sheep that have been pushed away by the Church. These are the gays and lesbians, New Age people, the tattooed and pierced, the zombie and vampire lovers. This movement will include women and minorities and those who have been treated unfairly.”

New rainbow people movement

During these encounters in December, the Lord told me the Wind of Change is coming earlythis year and is going to blow things into place. The Wind of Change angel normally comes around March, but it is moving all over the Earth right now.

Watch for God to move on Southern California in a new way, which will impact the entire world—similar to the Jesus People Movement that originated in San Francisco, but did not take off until it came to Southern California. This revival is not exclusive to California; I saw keys of revival being released all over the world. Expect to see something happen in your area!

The new rainbow people movement was originally released last year in San Francisco, but the strongholds and controlling spirits would not allow the revival to start there. I have been holding two keys of revival and the Lord told me to release one in San Diego and one in Los Angeles.

I did this on New Year’s Eve weekend. Something powerful and historic took place and we are going to see the start of something amazing.

Season change

Get ready for sudden acceleration, as the spiritual season is now changing. Many people have gone through difficult times, but better times are now coming.

We are stepping into a season of excitement, joy and happiness. Those who have sown in tears are about to reap with shouts of joy. God’s wisdom and revelation is flowing!

Are You Carrying Keys to Doors of the Past God Long-Ago Locked?

I wear a key around my neck. In fact, I have several different key necklaces. One says faith. One says dream wild. One says create. Some are silver. Some are black. Some are cooper.

Call it a prophetic thing… I started wearing necklaces when I got the Isaiah 22:22 revelation: “Then I will set the key of the house of David on his shoulder, when he opens no one will shut, when he shuts no one will open.”

In the realm of prayer, we use the Isaiah 22:22 key with governmental authority to unlock doors God prophetically shows us to open for His glory and to lock doors He wants locked to the enemy. As ambassadors for Christ, this is one strategy for waging prophetic warfare and legislating in the spirit.

Carrying Too Many Keys

Last week I received a new revelation while relocating to a new home. As part of taking possession of the property, I got three new keys for my ring and used one of them to turn the lock on a 7-foot door. When I opened this God-given door, I walked into my dream loft in an urban city with artists, photographers, and organic coffee surrounding my abode.

As I worked diligently to unpack boxes, I noticed my friend had a key ring with no more than three keys. That struck me as my keyring had no less than 18 keys on it. Beyond the three new keys to my home, I have P.O. Box keys, car keys, church keys, and a slew of other keys. These keys was so heavy it l literally weighed down my bags.

I declared in that moment I would winnow down my key chain. I ended up with six keys. Honestly, I couldn’t even remember what most of the other keys were for. If I was on a game show and the host asked which key went in what door I would have surely lost the competition.

Putting Away Old Keys

Here’s the lesson: Many of us are holding on to keys from doors of the past that are not only closed—the locks have been changed. We’re toting around a ring with keys to doors we long forgot about. Somehow, we closed the door and kept the keys—and those keys are weighing us down.

Hebrews 1:2 admonishes us, “Let us also lay aside every weight and the sin that so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.”

We can’t run our race with endurance if we don’t forget what lies behind—the closed doors, the failed relationships, the trials of life. We can’t sprint around the track God has laid out without wearing ourselves out if we don’t let go of the heavy weights the enemy wants us to carry.

Stripping my key chain of these superfluous keys to doors of the past was like letting go of a heavy load—and not just out of my bag but off my mind. It was a prophetic act that parallels Philippians 3:13-14:

“Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
