Why You Were Made for This Time

Do you know that God brought you into the world for this specific time?

People of the past were given a period of time to live and fulfill their purpose on the Earth. Many of them did great things and we can admire and be grateful for them, but their season is over.

We are now living in our era. This time is a special moment that God picked—specifically for us to walk the Earth and fulfill our calling.

What will you do with your time?

The question is: What are you going to do with your time?

Some people are walking around feeling like they have no purpose or destiny, when we’ve been chosen for such a time as this!

Look at the nations and watch—and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told. Habakkuk 1:5 NIV

God is doing something new and exciting in our moment of history, and you are called to be a part of it! He wants to share with you where you fit into all of this and bring clarity to your divine assignment and calling.

The Kingdom of God is within you

One crucial point to remember is that we don’t have to look around wondering where our purpose is.

Jesus made it clear:
Nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you. Luke 17:21 NKJV

Right now, there is anointing, power, strategy and authority inside of you! What you need, the purpose you’ve been looking for, is already within you.

God has given us everything we need to succeed and fulfill our purpose in this life, in this time. The same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead resides in us!

And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you. Romans 8:11 NIV

God is fanning the flame, the gifts that have been a part of you since the moment you were born and bringing those things to life.

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:19 NIV

This is your time. Now, get ready to walk in the fullness of the new!

Inquiring of the Lord—Posturing Ourselves for Success

When we seek the counsel of God, He gives us inside information and the edge on every situation we may encounter or find ourselves in. However, how much we inquire or whether we inquire at all is our choice to make. But to inquire of Him is the best way to go if we want to be spiritually successful. It is possible to live a life of victory, satisfaction, and divine favor—a life of miracle—when we inquire of the Lord and follow Him in all we do.

When we look deeply into David’s life and writings, we find an example (a road map, if you will) on how David postured himself before God and how we also are invited to live our lives. We were created and fashioned to succeed in all we do, having been made in the likeness and image of God—who has never and will never fail, because successful is who He is.

Most people are aware of King David’s shortcomings, sins, and failures, but fewer are aware that David was known as a man after the very heart of God. In Acts 13:22 it is said of David,

“[God] raised up David to be their king, concerning whom He also testified and said, ‘I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My heart, who will do all My will.'”

God certainly knew that David would fail, but He also knew that David would try again. He saw David’s sinning and was aware of every shortcoming (as He is for each one of us). But He also saw into David’s spirit and knew that David would run back into His arms—the arms of a loving Father—willing to do and obey all that He would command. God knew that David was a man of absolute faith and resolve in Him.

King David longed for many things, but he understood the truth of where true success and value would be found. He demonstrated it when he wrote and possibly even sang these following words as his own personal anthem.

One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek, inquire for, and [insistently] require: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the days of my life, to behold and gaze upon the beauty . . . of the Lord, and to meditate, consider, and inquire in His temple. (Psalm 27:4 AMPC)

Yet as beautiful and descriptive as these words are, there is no instruction as to how David went about obtaining the answer—or is there? How do we obtain the spiritual guidance we seek? Is it just to simply pray those same words? Or is there some hidden mystery, some undisclosed truth that made David desire the presence of God all the days of his life? Exactly how did David run after the heart of God and obtain His favor? How did David gain this glorious success of beholding and gazing upon the beauty of God?

David’s example on how he went about obtaining his “one thing,” his “one request of the Lord” can be found hidden within the lines of his many Psalms. There we find a great road map, one that demonstrates David’s heart of prayer and pursuit of God in all things, sometimes despite his every emotion.

The following steps are just a few of the many golden nuggets David wrote that can be used to aid us in approaching the Lord to obtain answers and cause us to inherit a successful life in Christ.  

1.  We begin with assurance, knowing that when we, like David, call upon the Lord, He answers.

In my distress I called upon the Lord,
And cried to my God for help;
He heard my voice out of His temple,
And my cry for help before Him came into His ears. (Psalm 18:6 NASB)

2.  We live with a repentant heart.

For the sake of your name, Lord,
forgive my iniquity, though it is great. (Psalm 25:11 NIV)

3.  We embrace humility. Inviting us to step into agreement with who God says we are, humility enables us to harmoniously follow our Shepherd’s leading and to grow in wisdom as we receive His guidance.

He leads the humble in what is right,
and teaches the humble His way. (Psalm 25:9 ESV)

4.  We must choose to trust. Trust is a valued character trait the world lacks, and because of this, many find it difficult to trust an invisible God. However, when we choose to lean into God by learning of His heart and His ways, we begin to rely on Him in every circumstance and in every area of our lives. And as we learn Him, we are able to remember His faithfulness, which increases our capacity to trust Him.

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses;
But we will remember the name of the Lord our God. (Psalm 20:7)

5.  We choose to love Him. David understood that the choice to love God comes from recognizing and agreeing with the truth that God is the one who gives us the strength to do so—and God’s strength never fails and never gives up.

I will love you, O Lord, my strength. (Psalm 18:1)

6.  We practice devotion. Being devoted to something means being focused on that particular thing almost exclusively.

I have set the Lord continually before me;
Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. (Psalm 16:8 NASB)

7.  We give God the recognition that belongs to Him. Praising God and giving Him the recognition due His name is best done when we wholeheartedly profess our faith and proclaim His marvelous deeds.

I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart;
I will tell of all Your marvelous works. (Psalm 9:1)

8.  We know that He is faithful.

Surely Your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life. (Psalm 23:6 NIV)

9.  We live obediently before Him.

Give me understanding, so that I may keep your law
and obey it with all my heart. (Psalm 119:34 NIV)

10.  We are intentional in our pursuit of Him. In Psalm 63, David pens the purpose for his existence—to pursue God earnestly as his one desire, his one delight, his one defense.

O God, You are my God;
Early will I seek You;
My soul thirsts for You;
My flesh longs for You. (Psalm 63:1)

When I remember You on my bed,
I meditate on You in the night watches.
Because You have been my help,
Therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice.
My soul follows close behind You;
Your right hand upholds me. (Psalm 63:6–8)

We can achieve success despite life’s obstacles and challenges when we keep our eyes on the Savior and make Him, as David did, our one thing. He is the one who holds our course steady. And He will complete His work in our lives. 1 Thessalonians 5:24 reminds us of this truth, saying of the Lord, “Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.“

When David wrote verse four of Psalm 27, he was responding to a lifelong call and invitation from God Himself to draw near and ask of Him. God is drawing us also. When Jesus is the primary focus of our desires and our lives, we ultimately experience victory instead of defeat and spiritual growth instead of stagnation.

Gott ist jetzt gerade dabei, unseren Auftrag für das kommende Jahr freizusetzen. Für gewöhnlich bricht im Zuge dieses Prozesses in unserem Leben die Hölle los. Sei nicht beunruhigt, wenn du Rückschläge, Schulden, Entmutigung und zerbrochene Beziehungen erlebst. Es kann sich so anfühlen, als ob wir einen Schritt vorwärts gingen, nur um mehrere Schritte rückwärts zu machen. Dies ist die Strategie des Feindes, um uns zum Aufgeben zu bewegen.

Doch Gott setzt nun Seine Strategie frei, um uns zum Durchbruch in eines der unglaublichsten Jahre, die wir seit langem gesehen haben, zu verhelfen. Statt vor den Schwierigkeiten zurückzuschrecken und zurückzuweichen, ist dies nun unsere Zeit um vorzutreten und aufzusteigen! Viele von uns sind dazu berufen, in der kommenden Erweckung - sei es als Leiter oder Teilnehmer - Vorläufer zu sein. Das ist der Grund, warum der Feind mit voller Wucht gegen uns vorgeht

Hier nun einige Wege, wie wir aufsteigen und kämpfen können, um unseren Durchbruch zu erlangen - und nicht ins Schleudern zu geraten.

Aufsteigen im Gebet

Denn wir kämpfen nicht gegen Menschen aus Fleisch und Blut, sondern gegen die bösen Mächte und Gewalten der unsichtbaren Welt, gegen jene Mächte der Finsternis, die diese Welt beherrschen, und gegen die bösen Geister in der Himmelswelt. Epheser 6, 12 NL

Menschen sind nicht unser Feind - Satan und seine Dämonen sind es. Wenn wir jedoch versuchen, den Feind mit demselben Geist, in dem der Feind wirkt, zu bekämpfen, werden wir k.o. geschlagen werden. Viele Menschen haben versucht, den Feind zu bekämpfen; doch wenn wir irgendetwas in unserem Leben mit dem Feind gemeinsam haben, dann könnte es für uns nach hinten losgehen.

Ich werde nicht mehr vieles mit euch reden, denn der Fürst der Welt kommt; und in mir hat er gar nichts... Johannes 14, 30 ELB

Jesus hatte nichts mit dem Feind gemeinsam. Seelische Wunden, Verletzungen aus der Vergangenheit, fehlende Vergebungsbereitschaft und Bitterkeit können die Ursache dafür sein, dass wir unsere Autorität im Gebet verlieren. Wenn wir Gott erlauben, uns von diesen Dingen zu heilen, können wir Vollmacht über sie erlangen.

Aufsteigen in Vorbereitung

Wir müssen mit dem Geist, der Menschen liebt und sie nicht verurteilt, in Einklang kommen. Die beste Art und Weise, dem Feind ein "blaues Auge" zu verpassen, besteht darin, zu tun, was Jesus gesagt hat: "Wie kannst du sagen zu deinem Bruder: Halt still, Bruder, ich will dir den Splitter aus deinem Auge ziehen, und du siehst selbst nicht den Balken in deinem Auge? Du Heuchler, zieh zuerst den Balken aus deinem Auge, danach kannst du sehen und den Splitter aus deines Bruders Auge ziehen." Lukas 6, 42 LUT 

Hier noch einige Bibelverse, die uns dabei helfen, im Kampf an Vollmacht zuzunehmen:

Segnet, die euch verfolgen; segnet, und verflucht sie nicht. Römer 12, 14 LUT

Niemand hat Gott je gesehen. Aber wenn wir einander lieben, dann bleibt Gott in uns, und seine Liebe kommt in uns zur Vollendung. 1. Johannes 4, 12 NL

Daran wird jedermann erkennen, dass ihr meine Jünger seid, wenn ihr Liebe untereinander habt. Johannes 13, 35 LUT

Wir müssen uns in Erinnerung rufen, dass Gottes Liebe am deutlichsten sichtbar wird, wenn wir einander lieben. Zu lieben und nicht zu richten, wird die geistliche Atmosphäre über uns, unseren Familien, Arbeitsplätzen, Diensten, Unternehmen, Gemeinden, Städten und Nationen verändern. Liebe ist wahrlich der Schlüssel, das Geheimnis und die Antwort auf den Schmerz in der Welt heute.

Marked at Onething for One Thing: Jaye Thomas

Jaye Thomas wasn’t even at IHOPKC when the Lord touched him through Onething 2007, marking him with a life-changing encounter. . . . . “I was watching [Onething] on GodTV, and I just got wrecked. I remember feeling the intense presence of the Lord in a way that I’d never encountered Him before, and I just knew in that moment that this is what I was made for. . . . I was marked for the prayer movement.” The next year, Jaye moved to Kansas City and joined the International House of Prayer. He was on stage leading worship at Onething 2008. “After encountering the Lord through Onething, it was a whole different thing when I came to the event for the first time,” he says. “I was excited because there was such tremendous expectation in the atmosphere, almost tangible expectation. . . . Ich freue mich so sehr darüber, dieses Wort, das Gott mir für uns gegeben hat, weiterzugeben! Als ich betete, sprach Er zwei Worte zu mir: Freude und Fröhlichkeit.

Das englische Wort Merriment, das im Deutschen Fröhlichkeit bedeutet, ist im heutigen Englisch nicht sehr gebräuchlich, doch im älteren Englisch bezog es sich auf Ritterspiele oder ganz allgemein auf etwas Gemeinschaftliches und Festliches. Wo nicht nur eine Einzelperson fröhlich ist, sondern wo es eine ganze Gruppe ist, wenn etwas Bemerkenswertes geschieht und alle ganz viel Spaß haben. Wenn man dort umhergeht, sieht und hört man viel Lachen und Freude.

Der Herr sagt zu uns: "Ihr werdet in eine neue Zeit der Freude und Fröhlichkeit hineingelangen. Ich möchte, dass ihr fröhlich seid!"

Was also ist fröhlich?

Vielleicht kommt der Geist des Lachens auf dich. Vielleicht bist du gerade voller Pessimismus, doch du entscheidest dich dazu, voller Freude zu sein, und dann - plötzlich - erreichst du den Punkt, der noch mehr als Freude ist und zu Fröhlichkeit wird. Es ist, wenn Lachen in deinem Munde ist, wenn du laut mit dem Radio mitsingst, wenn du Anbetungsmusik einlegst und nicht länger in dem niedergeschlagenen Zustand verharrst.

Sich dazu entscheiden, freudig zu sein - Medizin für unser Herz

Der Herr sagt: "Entscheide dich dazu, freudig zu sein, denn ein fröhliches Herz tut wohl wie Medizin.Dann wirst du erleben, dass Meine Medizin der Freude beginnen wird, deine Seele zu heilen, den Schmerz, den du hattest, und die Enttäuschung, die du erlebtest. Strecke dich nach mehr als diesem freudigen Zustand aus. Indem du der Freude Ausdruck verleihst, wird es zu dieser Zeit des Fröhlichseins kommen, wo ihr zusammenkommt und die anderen einfach genießt, wo ihr einfach das Leben genießt."

Falls du niemanden hast, mit dem du fröhlich sein kannst, oder wenn du nicht verheiratet oder Single bist, oder auch wenn ihr ein Ehepaar seid und nicht mit vielen zusammenkommt, sagt der Herr: "Sei du der Beschleuniger. Lade Menschen zu dir nach Hause ein. Kommt zum Abendessen zusammen. Bringt jenen, die euch umgeben, eine Atmosphäre des Fröhlichseins, ein Umfeld des Freude-Habens. Verleiht eurer Freude Ausdruck. Bezeugt Meine Güte. Erzählt von Meiner Größe.

Ihr werdet sehen - ihr werdet besser schlafen, ihr werdet euch besser fühlen, ihr werdet liebevoller sein, ihr werdet freundlicher sein."

Vater, so danke ich Dir für den Geist der Freude und der Fröhlichkeit. Vater, ich danke Dir im Namen Jesu für das, was Du in dieser neuen Zeit nun tun wirst - so wie es in der Vergangenheit prophezeit wurde - eine höhere Zeit!

THERE IS A NEW LEVEL OF FAITH ARISING IN THIS HOUR.

This new level of faith is not for what is right before you, but for what
seems impossible. The very thing that seems out of reach and unattainable.
Don’t be afraid, we are about to go on a detour… this detour is God-ordained.

It is time to dream again. To force yourself to believe, until you can see
it – even if it is the size of a man’s hand. I encourage you to keep praying
and going back to see… again and again.

In this season, you will see God open up storehouses that contain riches,
favor, revelation, and miracles. These storehouses have been saved until
this very hour. Everything has a time and season – this is the time.

I hear the Lord say, “I want to overwhelm you with My goodness. I want to
grant you gifts that take your breath away… just because I delight in you.”

I heard…

• This is a time to travel;
• Explore;
• Evangelize; and
• To completely step out of your comfort zone.

I KEEP HEARING – START PREPARING TO TRAVEL 

A DIFFERENT PATH.

It’s not because you are on the wrong path, but that He is calling you to
walk in the unknown and on a new path. This one will lead you on new
adventures in the spirit.

EXPECT YOUR DREAM LIFE TO WAKE UP.

Your dreams will become clear, prophetic, and vivid. Father God is speaking
– pay attention. Take the time to seek the truth and hunt for the
revelation…the journey is exciting and full of treasures along the way.
Remember, Father God is a rewarder of those that seek Him.

“And without faith living within us it would be impossible to please God. For we come to God in faith knowing that he is real and that he rewards the faith of those who give
all their passion and strength into seeking him (Hebrews 11:6 TPT).”

IF YOU ARE TIRED AND EXHAUSTED WITH RELIGION…

This is the time to look within to see what has truly changed your life.
Real transformation.

• Take each of those experiences;
• Each revelation;
• Miracle;
• Encounter; and
• Build an altar of remembrance.

Then worship the Lord for what He has done in your life and let this become
your new default – when things get hard or stagnated in your life – come
here and be renewed.

This altar will be a place for you to come and remember…and in turn, it
will build your faith and history with God.

YOU WILL BEGIN TO DISCOVER THE NATURE OF GOD 

AND HIS SWEET PRESENCE.

• Are you hungry for more?
• Do you desire to know Father God?
• Do you want to walk in His power?

Jesus said, “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the
works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these,
because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my
name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me
for anything in my name, and I will do it (John 14: 12-14 NIV).”

I pray these words stir you up inside and ignite your spirit. May they wake
you up with a holy hunger for more.

I BELIEVE THIS VISION IS FOR YOU:

There is a beautiful bridge in an unknown land, and you have never traveled
to this land before. Father God beckons you to come – to walk out over this
bridge and take the time to look over the new land. He stands by you in
great expectation for your response.

This land is yours and He is showing it to you before you are granted
access.

So, I want to ask you…

• What is Father God showing you?
• You may have to dream again before you can see it.
• Or you may have the vision in your mind right now.

Father God loves to show you your territory before He hands you the key.

There are 2 questions that Father God will ask you before you step out into
the unknown…

1. Do you believe it?
2. Do you believe He can do it?

So stretch your faith and dare to see. Don’t focus on the giants in the
land, but focus on what Father God is speaking.

THIS DETOUR IS GOD ORDAINED AND WELL WORTH

Keine Angst, wir sind im Begriff, einen Umweg zu machen.... dieser Umweg ist von Gott bestimmt.

Es ist Zeit, wieder zu träumen. Um sich selbst zum Glauben zu zwingen, bis man es sehen kann - auch wenn es so aussieht, als wäre es von Menschenhand. Ich ermutige dich, weiter zu beten und zurückzutreten, um zu sehen.... wieder und wieder.

In dieser Zeit wirst du sehen, wie Gott Lagerhäuser öffnet, die Reichtümer enthalten, Gunst, Offenbarung und Wunder. Diese Lagerhallen wurden bis zu dieser Stunde aufbewahrt. Alles hat eine Zeit und Stunde - dies ist die Stunde.

Ich höre den Herrn sagen: "Ich will dich mit meiner Güte überwältigen. Ich möchte dir Geschenke schenken, die dir den Atem rauben.... nur weil ich mich an dir erfreue."

Ich habe gehört...

Dies ist eine Zeit wieder unterwegs zu sein;

Zu Erkunden;

Zu Evangelisieren;

und Um die Komfortzone komplett zu verlassen.

ICH HÖRE IMMER WIEDER - FANGE AN, DICH VORZUBEREITEN, AUF EINE ANDERE ART UNTERWEGS ZU SEIN.

Es liegt nicht daran, dass du auf dem falschen Weg bist, sondern daran, dass Er dich ruft, im Unbekannten zu wandeln und einen neuen Weg zu gehen.

Dieser wird dich zu neuen Abenteuern im Geist führen.

ERWARTE, DASS DEIN TRAUMLEBEN AUFWACHT.

Deine Träume werden klar, prophetisch und lebendig. Vater Gott spricht - pass auf!

Nimm dir die Zeit, die Wahrheit zu suchen und nach der Offenbarung zu suchen.... die Reise ist aufregend und voller Schätze auf dem Weg.

Erinnere dich daran, dass Vater Gott ein Belohner derer ist, die ihn suchen.

"Und ohne den Glauben, der in uns lebt, wäre es unmöglich, Gott zu gefallen. Denn wir kommen im Glauben zu Gott und wissen, dass er real ist und dass er den Glauben derer belohnt, die all ihre Leidenschaft und Kraft geben, ihn zu suchen (Hebräer 11,6 TPT)."

WENN DU MÜDE UND ERSCHÖPFT VON DER RELIGION BIST ....

Dies ist die Zeit, um nach innen zu schauen, um zu sehen, was dein Leben wirklich verändert hat.

Echte Transformation.

Nimm jede dieser Erfahrungen;

Jede Offenbarung;

Jedes Wunder;

Jede Begegnung;

und Baue einen Altar der Erinnerung dafür.

Dann bete den Herrn an für das, was Er in deinem Leben getan hat, und lass dies zu etwas wie deine neue Vorgabe werden - wenn die Dinge in deinem Leben schwer werden oder stagnieren - komm hier her und werde erneuert.

Dieser Altar wird ein Ort sein, zu dem du kommen und dich erinnern kannst.... und das wiederum wird deinen Glauben aufbauen, und deine Geschichte mit Gott.

DU WIRST ANFANGEN, DIE NATUR GOTTES ZU ENTDECKEN UND SEINE SÜßE GEGENWART.

Bist du hungrig nach mehr?

Möchtest du Vater Gott kennenlernen?

Willst du in Seiner Macht wandeln?

Jesus sagte: "Ganz wahrhaftig sage ich euch, wer an mich glaubt, wird die Werke tun, die ich getan habe, und sogar noch größere Dinge tun als diese, weil ich zum Vater gehe. Und ich werde alles erfüllen, was du in meinem Namen bittest, damit der Vater im Sohn verherrlicht werde. Du kannst mich um alles bitten in meinem Namen, und ich werde es tun (Johannes 14: 12-14 NIV)."

Ich bete, dass diese Worte dich innerlich aufrütteln und deinen Geist entflammen. Mögen sie dich mit einem heiligen Hunger nach mehr aufwecken.

ICH GLAUBE, DIESE VISION IST FÜR DICH:

Es gibt eine schöne Brücke in einem unbekannten Land, und du bist noch nie zuvor in dieses Land gereist. Vater Gott lädt dich ein, zu kommen - auf diese Brücke hinaufzugehen und sich die Zeit zu nehmen, über das neue Land zu schauen. Er steht bei dir in großer Erwartung wie deine Antwort ist.

Dieses Land ist deins und Er zeigt es dir, bevor es dir wirklich gehört.

Also, ich möchte dich fragen....

Was zeigt dir Vater Gott?

Vielleicht musst du wieder träumen, bevor du es sehen kannst.

Oder du hast die Vision gerade jetzt schon in deinem Kopf.

Vater Gott liebt es, dir dein Territorium zu zeigen, bevor er dir den Schlüssel übergibt.

Es gibt 2 Fragen, die Vater Gott dir stellen will, bevor du in das Unbekannte gehst...

Glaubst du es?

Glaubst du, dass Er es tun kann?

Also dehne deinen Glauben aus und wage es zu sehen. Konzentriere dich nicht auf die Riesen in dem Land, sondern konzentriere dich darauf, was Vater Gott spricht.
