HE IS ANOINTING TRANSITIONAL PEOPLE

A Word by Jennifer Eivaz: Feed the Flame
Whenever I minister in different places, I always make the effort to prepare well for the various venues I’m in. I’m prayed up, ready with a word, and covered in prayer by my intercessory teams. On a recent trip to the Bronx, I was prepared and ready with a word for this eclectic group of ministers and other attendees. On the flight, however, I felt the distinct presence of the Holy Spirit and heard His voice. He spoke one phrase to my heart, “transitional people,” and I instantly knew the message.
I’m going to define transitional people as those who are first time Christians in their families. The Bible shows many such people – John the Baptist, all the early apostles, as well as those of the early church. Being first, means you now have a transitional role. And for most, that transitional role is centered on your family as you will be walking your family out of the old way and into a new way. You will reclaim bloodline and spiritual blessings. Because you are the first, you will face distinctly unique challenges. You will also have heightened spiritual warfare as you break down demonic generational strongholds so that Jesus can emerge as the Strongman of your family.
He gives you strength for the turnaround
“Like adamant stone, harder than flint, I have made your forehead; do not be afraid of them, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house.” Ezk. 3:9
This verse was actually God’s directive to the prophet Ezekiel as He dealt with rebellious Israel through His chosen prophet. You might not be an actual prophet, but in a sense you’re a prophet to your own family. As a transitional person, you will communicate His word and precepts to your family and point them to a better way. You will give voice to instruct in righteous living to your children, grandchildren, and the great-grandchildren coming after you. He is giving you a God-ordained stubbornness to stand against the pressure of returning to the old and familiar ways of destruction. As you make way for Him in your family, a task that will require your entire lifetime, the pressure of this turnaround will figuratively turn you into a diamond in the end. You will be that beacon of light and that radiant voice of hope. The Holy Spirit is saying, “Future generations in your family line will point to your light and say ‘I want to be just like you.”
When God sees you, He sees your entire family both past and future
Have you ever noticed those long, tedious genealogy lists in the Bible? For example, “Adam, Seth, Enosh, Cainan, Mahalalel, Jared… The sons of Ham were Cush, MIzraim, Put, and Canaan. (I Chron. 1:1,8).” There are several such lists throughout the scriptures and to be really honest, I never read them. I find them totally boring. These genealogies shout a message to us, however, that God doesn’t just look at us as individuals, but sees our entire family both past and future. I believe this is the principle behind the promise that if one member of the household is saved, then the entire household comes under divine appointment for salvation.
“So they said, ‘Believe on the Lord Jesus and you will be saved. You and your whole household.’” Acts 16:31
God puts unique gifts and callings on families. These are your God-ordained generational blessings.
“Of the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, their chiefs were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their command.” I Chron. 12:32
Here we see a family that had wisdom and understanding, and a leadership gift. Did you know that families, not just individuals, have an assignment in the earth? Some families are musical or artists, some are “chiefs” and called to lead in government, some are five-fold ministers, some are educators, and then some are business leaders. Families have family assignments and are blessed and anointed of God to fulfill their kingdom purposes. When they step into their assignment, the anointing flows and it’s the anointing that breaks every yoke.
He is calling out and restoring generational blessings! He is putting families back into their assignments! Many of these assignments have been buried under the curse. The family curse came when the family turned away from the Lord. Rebellion against God always has consequences and those consequences have come onto the children and the children’s children. Bringing a family back into its assignment, however, requires a transitional person. This is much easier said than done. Transitional people are often very war-like because they’ve had to battle personally every family curse, family demon, and family weakness and stand against all odds for a new legacy.
Transitional people are concerned with repentance. They stand in the gap and break every curse in Jesus’ name.

If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chron. 7:14
If you haven’t done this already, take some time with your Heavenly Father today and repent for every sin that you know of that your family has committed against Him. You won’t know everything that’s taken place, but you will know enough to start the process of repentance on behalf of your family. You might be wondering, “Why do I have to repent for the sins that someone else did? What does it really matter?” We find many times in the bible where someone would repent for the corporate sins of the family, city, and region, both past and present to spiritually release them from sin cycles, false beliefs, and binding agreements with other gods.  For example, Moses stood in repentance for the Israel’s corporate sin of worshipping the golden calf. Daniel’s repentance for his people delivered them from the demonic principalities of Persia and Greece. In the New Testament, Stephen, the first Christian martyr, repented at his very last breath on behalf of his persecutors, an act that many believe marked Saul to have a divine encounter with Jesus.
When you take responsibility for the sin of your family both present and past, first in prayer and then through active action with the help of the Holy Spirit, it creates an open heaven over your unsaved family to receive the conviction of the Holy Spirit. You will see the most resistance from family members at this point because they will begin to feel the conviction. Only you must be fierce in prayer, refuse to be offended, and love intentionally.
In case you are unsure of what the curse even looks like, here is a biblical list of what you’ve been redeemed from in Christ. It no longer belongs to you. (Gal. 3:13; Deut. 28):
  • Sickness and prolonged sickness
  • Plagues
  • Early death
  • Helplessness
  • Destruction
  • Madness
  • Confusion
  • Blindness
  • Poverty
  • Being consumed
  • Debt
  • Drought
  • Defeat
  • Weakness
  • Low position
  • No safety
  • Being scattered
  • Broken family
  • Infertility
  • Being unwanted
As the transitional person, make the decree for “GREATER”
“Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.” Job 22:28

The Hebrew word for decree in this passage (gazar) is a command that not only establishes something but also divides and cuts something down at the same time. The powerful promise for making a decree is that the light of God will shine upon all our ways. In other words, the decree cuts away and destroys anything from the kingdom of darkness that has been purposed against you.
Let’s decree this together by saying it out loud:
  • As for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord. (Josh 24:15)
  • I love God and I keep his commandments. Therefore, the blessing of God is on my family for a 1000 generations. (Duet 7:9)
  • My sons and my daughters will prophesy! They shall dream dreams and have visions from the Lord. (Acts 2:17)
  • My family is growing in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man. (Luke 2:52)
  • Every generational blessing will be revealed and stewarded in my family line. No blessing, gift, talent, or divine ability shall be lost.
  • I decree that every member of my family in this generation and in future generations will be saved, filled with the Holy Spirit, and serve the Lord wholeheartedly.
  • I decree over the men in my family. They will serve the Lord. I decree over the women in my family. They will serve the Lord. I decree over every child, grandchild, great grandchild, and beyond. They will serve the Lord.
  • I decree the Holy Spirit to be the ruling Spirit of our family and the name of Jesus to be our stronghold.
As a transitional person, you are receiving an anointing for breakthrough and turnaround from the Holy Spirit. There is much grace for you!
