Spiritual Viruses

Much like computer viruses of today I am going to attempt to list things in our life that will hinder our ability to have a Christ like life style.


Hard hearted—different priorities—doubt—fear of (rejection, self, sorrow, pity, past, not being accepted, being alone, inward anger, insecurity, change)—unbelief—self righteousness—judgmental—pride—complainer—worry—feelings of inadequacy—easily intimidated—to old/young—satisfied—don’t know what to do.


When I got filled with the Holy Ghost I got it all—job—family situations—poor—not smart enough-intellectualism—no power or anointing—why try—I’m not Jesus—no talent or skills—religious—I have not seen a real miracle—it’s not for me—I’m just hanging on till Jesus comes—discouraged—Satin 95%, God 5%—I’m not perfect—no perceived potential—unforgiveness—hate—quarreling—jealousy—self serving—just a poor sinner saved by grace.


Trouble maker—got to have the best in this life—superiority complex—envy—covet—materialistic—no self restraint—not sold out to God—idolatry—a controlling spirit—lustful—disorderly—don’t have enough confidence in God—habits—running from the call of God—not as spiritual as others—nerves—defeated—depressed—time sensitive—not worthy—critical—can’t change things—I can handle myself—don’t mess with my theology—reputation to maintain—too much hurt—pleasure minded.


Don’t trust others—unconcerned—hypocrisy in the church—racism—drugs—others that think differently—have to understand everything that happens to me or else I can’t handle it—all they want is my money—not ready—interferes with my plans—pointing of the finger—and my favorite—RELIGIOUS HUMILITY. This one is full of pride and dis-function.


In our life we want to pray the power of God down or pray to get closer to God. We can’t really get any closer than the breath and life within. Our problem is we need to pray that God will help us remove the restraints within us so revival can come.


Food for thought:


So is it revival we need or reformation we need? All actions start in the mind.


So how many of these things are there that would hinder a Christ like testimony in your life?


To not consider these is to blame God for the lack of the manifestations of His power.

When these are not present or at least kept under control God can move mightily.


Wisdom is revealed and justified in the actions in whom it resides.


The Bible is the software that protects and operates our computer within.
